Smith did not return to the field, had to take the hospital

Smith did not return to the ground in the post -tea session. Cricket Australia (CA) said that the right -handed batsman has ‘compound dislocation in the little finger of the right -hand’. The CA said, “The medical staff of the Australian team evaluated him on the ground and was taken to the hospital for X-rays and further treatment.” Dislocation means that Smith’s playing in his West Indies Test tour is clearly suspicious, which is starting in ten days.

South Africa 69 runs away from victory

Australia scored 207 runs in the second innings in the second innings than by Mitchell Starc’s 58 -run innings and 59 runs partnership for the last wicket with Josh Hazlewood, after which South Africa gave a challenging target of 282 runs. However, the unbeaten century of Aiden Markram and the unbeaten half -century innings of captain Temba Bavuma has brought South Africa to the threshold of winning the WTC final. Both of them have made a big century partnership for the third wicket and have raised the team close to winning the ICC trophy after 27 years.
