India vs England Test: The 5 Test series between India and England will begin on June 20. Before that, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has taken a big decision. Now the Test series between the two countries will not be known as Pataudi Trophy. ECB has changed its name to Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy. Now this test series will be played for ‘Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy’.

Trophy unveiled on 11 June

According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, the names of Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson will be written on the prestigious trophy. Such a decision has been taken on the consent of the ECB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Both Tendulkar and Anderson will unveil the trophy at Lord’s during the World Test Championship (WTC) final starting on June 11.

Names of Tendulkar and Anderson Maharikord

India’s legendary player Sachin Tendulkar is the highest run -scorer in Test history. He has scored 15,921 runs in 200 Tests played between 1989 and 2013. James Anderson is the most wicket -taking bowler for England. He has 704 Test wickets in 188 matches. While Tendulkar retired in 2013, Anderson said goodbye to his career in 2024.

Pataudi Trophy for the first time in 2007

Earlier, the India vs England bilateral series played in England since 2007 was known as ‘Pataudi Trophy’.
