Ajit Wadekar – 1971

Ajit Wadekar registered his name in Indian cricket history by winning his first Test series in England. India surprised the hosts 1-0 in the three-match series. After the first two Test draws, Team India won at The Oval. For Team India, captain Wadekar scored the highest 204 runs in 6 innings. S Venkataraghavan and Bhagwat Chandrashekhar took 13-13 wickets. Bishan Singh Bedi got 11 wickets.

Kapil Dev – 1986

Three years after lifting the ODI World Cup, Kapil Dev gave India another milestone. This time in the Test, his captaincy was seen in England itself. India won the first two matches in Lord’s and Leeds and won the series 2–0. The third Test was left on a draw in Birmingham. For India, Dilip Vengsarkar scored the highest 360 runs. Chetan Sharma took 16 and Maninder Singh took 12 wickets.

Rahul Dravid – 2007

Rahul Dravid remains the third and previous Indian captain to win the Test series in England. India won the second Test in Nottingham. After this, the first Test match was drawn in Lord’s and third in The Oval. In this way the series was captured 1-0. Dinesh Karthik scored the highest 263 runs for Team India. Zaheer Khan took 18 wickets and Anil Kumble took 14 wickets. Zaheer received the Player of the Series Award.
