The second four-day unauthorized Test match between India-A and England Lions began on 6 June (Friday) at the county ground in Northampton. On the first day of this match, KL Rahul performed brilliantly with the bat for India-A. KL Rahul scored 116 runs off 168 balls, which included a six besides 15 fours. KL Rahul’s wicket was taken by fast bowler George Hill.

KL Rahul completed his century from 151 balls in the first innings of this match. This was the 19th century of Rahul’s first class career. Rahul had gone on to open and he has given good news to the fans before the Test series by scoring a century. KL Rahul has also played a century innings and told that he is fully ready for the 5 -match Test series against England starting on June 20. Wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Juril also played a half -century innings (52 runs).

India-A did not start well in the first innings in the match and the first blow got into the seventh over, when Yashaswi Jaiswal was called an LBW off the ball of experienced fast bowler Chris Woakes. From here, there was a 121 -run partnership for the fourth wicket between Dhruv Jurlel and KL Rahul. Jurael was bowled by George Hill. Jurael scored 52 runs off 87 balls with the help of 7 fours. Then George Hill also dismissed KL Rahul. At the time of Rahul’s dismissal, India-A score was 252 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 61.2 overs.

After KL Rahul, India-A lost the wickets of Nitish Kumar Reddy (34 runs) and Shardul Thakur (19 runs). Nitish was run by Tom Hens and Shardul by Farhan Ahmed. After the end of the first day, India-A score was 319 for seven wickets in the first innings. At the time of the stump, Tanush Kotian 5 and Anshul Kamboj 1 were not out for 1 run.
