Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) performed brilliantly and won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs in the final held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 3 June (Tuesday). Royal Challengers Bangalore became the first champion. At the same time, Punjab Kings’s dream of winning the IPL title came out for the second time.
The IPL started in 2008 and so far it has been 18 seasons. If seen, Mumbai Indians (Mi) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have won the most titles in IPL. Both won the title 5-5 times. At the same time, Kolkata Knight Riders 3 times (2012, 2014 and 2024) became IPL champions. Rajasthan Royals (2008), Deccan Chargers (2009), Sunrisers Hyderabad (2016), Gujarat Titans (2022) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (2025) are also included in the list of teams to become champions.
If seen, till now only 8 teams have won the IPL title. In that too, 5 cities Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata have won 15 titles together. Whereas the franchisees of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Bangalore won 1-1 title win. Punjab Kings, Gujarat Lions, Rising Pune Super Giants, Pune Warriors, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, Kochi Tuskers Kerala could not win the title.
