India Tour of England 2025 Press Conference: Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir did not clearly say that in which three Tests Jasprit Bumrah will play in the Test series against the upcoming England, but he expressed confidence that the fast bowling unit is also able to handle the workload. Gambhir said that we have not yet decided which three matches (they) have to play. However, it is still not decided that Bumrah will play only three Tests.

India’s selection committee chief Ajit Agarkar had told during the announcement of the tour of the tour that 31 -year -old Bumrah will not play all five Tests as per the advice of the medical team. Gambhir said with the new Test captain Shubman Gill at the pre -departure press conference, “Look, it is always difficult to replace a player like Jaspreet Bumrah, but we have enough quality.”

He added, “I have said before (during the Champions Trophy) that it gives a chance to someone else and we have a lot of talent. I know that he is a quality bowler, but we have enough quality in the squad.”

Gill said, “We have chosen enough bowlers and we have a great pace battery. Our fast bowlers can win us from any situation.”

The test record of India’s victory on England soil is not good. India has played 67 Test matches against England in his house so far (1932-2022). The five -match Test series between India and England is scheduled to begin at the Leeds Cricket Ground in Handingley, whose first match will be from 20 to 24 June. The next Test will be held from July 2 to 6 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham. The third test will be held from July 10 to July 14 at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Then Manchester will host the fourth Test in Old Trafford from July 23 to July 27. The fifth and final match of this exciting series is to be played from 31 July to 4 August at The Oval, London.
