Former India batsman WV Raman believes that during the Test series against England, Jasprit Bumrah should keep a maximum of 12 overs bowling target a day. This fast bowler should not increase much workload. BCCI has already made it clear that Jasprit Bumrah will play only three out of five Tests in England.

Bumrah gets big advice

In a special conversation with Sony Sports Network, WV Raman said, ‘India has not yet decided on Test matches playing in England. Things will be more clear after the end of the intra-voice match in Bekenham. Yes, Bumrah’s availability is a key-factor for India. It is quite certain that if he does not play more than three Test matches, then it becomes relatively easy. You know that you will not see them playing in two Test matches.

‘Bowling only 12 overs in a day Bumrah’

Raman further said, ‘If the team management gets this option, then they will definitely have to find it before the series starts. As far as the use of Bumrah on the field is concerned, I think he cannot get him bowling more. Perhaps Bumrah should not be bowled for more than 15 overs. According to me, they should throw 12 overs in a day.

Famous Krishna or Shardul?

Apart from Bumrah on the tour of England, other fast bowlers in India include Mohammad Siraj, famous Krishna, Akashdeep and Arshdeep Singh, while Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shardul Thakur are seam-bowling all-rounders. Raman has chosen Siraj, famous and left -handed fast bowler Arshdeep to complete India’s fast bowling quartet in the first match of the series in Leeds. ‘I will choose Arshdeep’

The former Indian cricketer further said, ‘I will choose Arshdeep. I think Siraj will definitely be at number three. If Bumrah is not there, I will also include the famous Krishna. There are also Bumrah, so I will consider keeping four semen, especially in Leeds, because there will be a lot of swing and seam.

Test series will start from June 20
