R Ashwin Ball Tempering: R Ashwin, the name that proved to be an example of Indian cricket. Ashwin has been one of the best spinners in the world. He achieved many big achievements in international cricket and was also honored for it. Ashwin announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket during the Border Gavaskar Trophy last year. He got a memorable farewell, but this well-known name of international cricket has been made serious allegations in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.

Franchisee accused

In TNPL, Ashwin has been accused of ball tempering by the franchise Madurai Panthers. A complaint has also been lodged against Ashwin against his franchise. After the complaint of Ashwin on 14 June, TNPL organizers have now sought evidence from Madurai Panthers in this matter. However, the complaint has been accepted at the moment.

Why was the allegations against Ashwin?

It was told by the franchise that Ashwin used a chemically treated towel to make the ball heavy. He further alleged that a metal -like sound came out when tampering hit the ball due to tampering. These allegations have been accepted by TNPL CEO Prasanna Kannan, but evidence has been sought for this. If evidence is found then further action will be taken.

Did TNPL CEO say?

Prasanna told the Indian Express, ‘He has filed a complaint, which we have accepted. However, they have to file any complaint within 24 hours of the game. Nevertheless, we have accepted it and asked them to present evidence of our allegations. If we feel that there is any truth in his allegations, then we will set up an independent committee. Without enough evidence, it is wrong to make such allegations against a player and another franchise. If they do not give any evidence, then Madurai will have to face proper punishment.
