India vs England 2025: Before the start of the upcoming England tour, India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir and Test captain Shubman Gill encouraged the players of the team. The BCCI has shared a video, in which Gambhir and Gill addressed the team in the pre-training handle and kept their vision for the five-Test England series. The tour does not include players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin, who have retired from this format.

The head coach further said that this team has hunger and passion, which can make it a special tour and which indicates the onset of a new era for Indian cricket after retiring from the Tests like Rohit, Virat and Ashwin. Gambhir said, ‘I just want to say that there are two ways to see this tour. One is that we are without our 3 most experienced players or we have got this great opportunity to do something special for the country. When I see this group, I think there is hunger, passion and commitment to do something special in it. Gambhir further said, ‘I think if we renounce, if we come out of our comfort zone. If we start struggling every day but every session, every hour and every ball, then I think we can make a memorable tour.

Captain Gill gave this message

Gill, appointed the 37th Test captain of India, said that the team should ensure that every net session is meaningful to know how to play under pressure. Gill said, ‘Let us make each net session meaningful and prepare in the same way. And when we get on the field, keep ourselves under a little pressure. It is not about staying on the ground. Let us try to know our game and how will we play when we are under pressure. Whether it is our bowler or batsman. Let’s play every ball in a purposely manner.

The 5 -match series will begin in Leeds on 20 June, after which the second Test match will be played in Birmingham. Lord’s Cricket Ground will host the third Test starting on July 10. Old Trafford and Kennington Oval will host the fourth and fifth Tests of the series respectively.
