India vs England Test Series: The month of May of this year was going to bring earthquake for Indian cricket. Despite the Test series close against England, two legendary players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket. After this, the replacement of both is being searched. Yashasvi Jaiswal is ready as an alternative to Rohit, but nothing is clear in the name of the player who replaces Virat. It is believed that the new captain Shubman Gill will be launched to bat on the fourth order. He is being called the next Virat Kohli of Indian cricket.
Veteran took Sudarshan’s name
After Kohli’s retirement, the team is going to start a new era under the leadership of Shubman Gill. Most people have supported Shubman for the role of Kohli. At the same time, former England cricketer Monty Panesar has bet on a player who has not yet made a Test debut. 23 -year -old batsman Sai Sudarshan has been selected for the Test series against England. He was in the list of selectors after his impressive performance in the last domestic season. His brilliant performance in IPL 2025 gave a final seal to the selection.

What did Panesar say?
Talking to Insidsport, Panesar described Sudarshan as the ‘next superstar of Indian cricket’ and supported him to play the role of number 4. Panesar said, “There are some very good young players in the team at this time. A special batsman is Surrey’s player, Sai Sudarshan. He looks very aggressive and fearless. He is a player who has performed well in English conditions and for all. I think he can be the next superstar of Indian cricket and Virat Kohli can play the role he played at number four.
Sudarshan could not go to England first
Sudarshan first planned to go to England early to play the second India ‘A’ match against England Lions, which would have started preparing for his tour early. However, his visit was delayed due to his IPL franchise Gujarat Titans’ playoffs. He reached England later with the rest of the Indian team members.
