38 -year -old Divyang wheelchair Vikram Singh, who was traveling in Chhattisgarh Express, died before reaching Mathura Junction. He was going from Ludhiana to Gwalior to participate in a wheelchair cricket tournament. Vikram was traveling in the Divyang Coach (reserved for the disabled) of the train and had allegedly complained of headache and restlessness through the railway helpline before his death.

Complaint filed, assistance not found

Other players traveling with Vikram alleged that no assistance was made by railway officials even after three and a half hours after registering a complaint on 139 helpline on Wednesday morning. When a doctor was arranged in Mathura. By then he lost his life. By the time the train reached the station, the player had already died.

Match was to play in Gwalior

On Wednesday morning, when the train passed through Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi, Vikram Singh started complaining of headache and restlessness. His fellow players immediately called 139 helpline for medical assistance. However, due to repeated stops on the red signal on the way, the train took more than three and a half hours to reach Mathura Junction.

Railways gave this information

Railway officials admitted that a complaint was lodged on the railway aid portal and the doctor was called at Mathura Junction, but Vikram had died before the passenger reached the station. Public Relations Officer of Agra Division of North Central Railway, Public Relations Officer Prasasti Srivastava said, “A complaint was filed on the Rail Said Portal, which works round the clock. The passenger was called and necessary information was obtained. It was reported that the passenger was experiencing headache and restlessness. ”
