After the stampede in Bengaluru on Wednesday, IPL champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) said on Thursday that it is ready to cooperate in all legal proceedings in connection with the FIR lodged in the case of death of 11 people in the stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Let us know that this FIR has been lodged against RCB, Karnataka State Cricket Association and event management firm DNA Entertainment Networks.

A source of franchise to news agency PTI said, “We cannot comment on legal proceedings at the moment. But we will cooperate fully with the government and judicial officials.”

Know when the accident happened

The accident happened when about two and a half million people gathered outside the stadium to get a glimpse of their favorite RCB cricketers. In this chaos, 11 people died and many others were injured. This accident happened on Wednesday.

According to the police, the case has been registered at Cubbon Park Police Station. Earlier, RCB had announced a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of 11 supporters who lost their lives in the stampede.

The team said in a statement, “RCB has announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to 11 families of the deceased as honor and solidarity. Apart from this, a fund ‘RCB Care’ will also be made to help the injured fans in this tragic incident.”

The magistrate investigation of this incident is going on and its report is expected to come in the next fortnight. RCB is facing widespread criticism to celebrate its victory the next day, due to which the administration and police officers could not get time to make adequate security arrangements to control such a large crowd.
