The last match of the three -match ODI series between England and West Indies has been played on 3 June (Tuesday) at The Oval ground in London. The toss was delayed for this match. The first toss was to be held at the Indian time at the evening, but the toss took place 40 minutes late. In the match, England team won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Windies team stuck in traffic jam
The delay in the toss was not due to wet outfield or rain, but traffic jam. In fact, the West Indies team got stuck in London’s traffic and did not reach the stadium before the toss. West Indies players were trapped in heavy traffic in the north area of ββthe River Temes River. To avoid the jam, some England players resorted to the bicycle and they had reached the stadium earlier. Players like Harry Brook, Bridan Cars, Jose, Matthew Pots left their team and resorted to Lime Bicycle to reach the stadium.
The England team won the first two matches and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. The first match of the series was played on May 29 in Birmingham, in which the hosts won by 238 runs. Then on June 1, England won by three wickets in the second ODI held in Leeds.
