India vs England Test Series: A big news has come out about India’s tour of England. VVS Laxman, head of the Center of Excellence (Earlier National Cricket Academy), has been present in England with Shubman Gill -led Indian team for the last two days. After Gautam Gambhir returned home to live with his ailing mother, Laxman along with Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar worked to prepare the team in Bekenham.

Laxman has often played the role of head coach in limited over cricket when he is often serious or before Rahul Dravid is busy. There is no official statement about Laxman’s role on England tour yet. Different reports have been received about the presence of Laxman in England. A BCCI source from the cricbing said, “He has gone there for some other purpose. Not on any assignment with the Indian team. He went to London to London. ”

Will Laxman remain with the team?

The report claimed that Laxman was for a conference in Switzerland before going to England. Laxman, 50, has not yet made any official comment. There is nothing clear about whether he will remain with the team after Gautam Gambhir joined the team. It is believed that Gambhir will join the team on 17 June.

Laxman’s experience in England

Laxman has a lot of experience playing under the circumstances of England. He has played 11 Tests in England and scored 586 runs at an average of 34.47. This includes five half -centuries. He has played 16 matches for Lancashire in two county season. Apart from this, he has been a part of Indian teams playing first class matches against England Lions, County teams and others.

When and when Team became the head coach of India?

Laxman has worked as an executive coach of Team India several times. He was a coach during the T20 series against Ireland. He also played this role during the ODI and T20 series against New Zealand after the T20 World Cup. Along with being the head of the Center of Excellence, he is also the head coach of the Under-19 men’s team.
