Yograj Singh vs MS Dhoni: After winning the 2011 World Cup, the Indian cricket team went through a round of change in the next two years. During this time, the team was wiped out by 0-4 in the foreign Test series against England and Australia. Due to these defeats, many Indian veterans were dropped from the team. The selectors had unanimously decided that Mahendra Singh Dhoni would be removed from the post of captain. In this, former Indian all -rounder Mohinder Amarnath was one of the prominent persons of the selection committee at that time. Talking about that incident, Yograj Singh, father of former Indian star Yuvraj Singh, has targeted Amarnath and others fiercely.

Yograj made serious allegations

Yograj Singh believes that the BCCI made a big mistake by not dismissing Dhoni. Due to this, the career of many players was ruined. Talking to Insidsport, Yograj said, “You (BCCI selectors) ruined these boys without any reason.” You allowed players like Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Mohammad Kaif, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid to go out after 2011.

‘7 players’ career put in trough’

Yograj further said, “You ruined the team after the 2011 World Cup. The career of 7 players was put in the trough. That is why we were struggling. ”Players like Gambhir, Yuvraj, Zaheer and Harbhajan slowly went out of the national team due to the defeat of the high-profile series from England and Australia. At that time, Yograj lashed out at Amarnath for the mismanagement of those players and his career. Yograj said, “When MS Dhoni was the captain, we lost in five series and they were told that Mohinder will remove Amarnath Dhoni, but this method was not right.”

Srinivasan had told Dhoni’s captaincy

Amarnath had earlier said that after a clean sweep, there was complete preparation to remove Dhoni from the post of captain, but the then BCCI President N. Srinivasan stopped his dismissal. Amarnath told CNN-IBN in 2012, “When you respect a person, you do not ask questions. But my question is that if you have a selection committee that thinks what is the best for Indian cricket, then why are they not given an independent hand? ”
