India vs England: Before the 5 Test series between India and England, Team India batsman Karun Nair has made a sensational disclosure. Despite a record triple century on the home ground against England in 2016, Nair has once again got a chance after eight years of being out of the team. He made his place for the series against England by performing tremendously in domestic cricket.

Nair’s sensational revelation

There are clear indications of his inclusion in the playing XI for the first Test starting from June 20 in Hadingley. Meanwhile, Nair has revealed that some time ago he was advised to retire. About two years ago, a ‘prominent Indian cricketer’ advised him that the time has come to retire and secure his future through foreign T20 leagues. According to the BCCI rules, it was possible only when it ends its BCCI relationship.

Nair curses himself

Karun Nair told the Daily Mail, “I still remember that a prominent Indian cricketer called me and told me that I should take retirement because the money in these leagues will protect me. It would have been easy to do so, but I knew that regardless of money, I would curse myself to give up so easily.

Hope was never going to leave: Karun Nair

Karun Nair further said, “I was never going to leave the hope of playing again for India. This is more than two years ago and see where we are now. This is madness, but inside I knew that I was quite good. ”Nair has also made a big hit in England’s county cricket along with domestic cricket. His county championship experience with Northamptonshire will also work for the team. The 33-year-old scored 736 runs in the 2023-24 season at an average of 56.61.
